The Love Story

Tyler and Martin's story began at Kennesaw State University where Martin was an International Student from Denmark. He was Vice President of a student-led organization called The Black and Gold. Tyler had joined the group, also as an officer, as the Sorority Liasion.

They worked together in this group and surprisingly ended up having a class together the next semester. In March of  2014, Martin finally asked Tyler out on their first date! They went to dinner and saw The Lego Movie.

On April 20, 2014, Easter Sunday, Martin took Tyler to their favorite restaurant that evening at Del Friscos, after a fun-filled day with Tyler's family, where he asked her to officially be his girlfriend.

On December 22, 2018, Martin surprised Tyler with a beautiful proposal at Barnsley Gardens.

It looked as if it was straight out of a Hallmark movie with all the beautiful lights all over the garden. Martin had all of  Tyler's family, Martin's mom, and Tyler's best friend Lizzie Baker (who is also a photographer) there to help pull off the surprise engagement.

This was their first Christmas actually together (Martin usually goes home to Denmark for Christmas) and it is one they will never forget!

Over the last five years, they have traveled to 12 different countries together (and counting), traveled to many states, endured great losses, enjoyed countless amounts of laughter, experienced two years of long-distance, lived a year in Denmark, traveled all over Europe,  and are now taking on the USA.

The couple had a small ceremony in Denmark on July 10, 2020, despite the pandemic, with Martin's side of the family. Tyler's dad was able to fly over and also join the ceremony. They are so thankful to finally have the wedding of their dreams this year and to be able to celebrate how it was originally planned!

They are thrilled to see how their next chapter unfolds and all the adventures married life will bring!
